2019 Up a Creek Pinot Noir
Our Club PEJU exclusive wines pay homage to our esteemed legacy by featuring a cherished photograph of our property throughout the years. Captured by HB Peju, our Up a Creek Pinot showcases Tony Peju in 1997 initiating the development of our Willow Creek on the Rutherford estate. This scenic creek was built utilizing stones salvaged from our Persephone Estate and was expertly crafted by hand to create a stunning masterpiece that will be treasured for generations to come.
This is a wine that exudes elegance and finesse. On the nose, aromas of Bing cherry and red fruit dominate, while hints of tobacco and porcini mushroom add complexity and depth. On the palate, this Pinot Noir is well balanced, with medium tannins and a silky texture that coats the mouth. The expressive flavors of wild huckleberry and peppercorn medley are complemented by the earthy notes making for a wine that is both fruity and savory and perfectly balanced.
